Position: 20 posts of doctors (7 Sr. Residents and 13 Jr. Residents – MBBS) on an ad‑hoc basis.

Location: Central Jail Hospital, Tihar, New Delhi‑110064.

• Jr. Resident: 3 November 2026.

Application Form

Use the Application Proforma for the post of Sr./Jr. Resident (MBBS) (page 5 of the notification). Include:

• Passport‑size photo.
• Candidate details (name, father/husband, DOB, addresses, contact, Aadhar, email).
• Internship completion date and category (UR/EWS/SC/ST/OBC).
• Prior resident experience (if any).
• Academic record from Class 10 onwards.
• Delhi Medical Council (DMC) registration/acknowledgement number.
• Signed declaration and list of enclosures.

Eligibility

• Post‑Graduate: MD/MS/DNB or Diploma in the concerned specialty.
• If no PG candidates: at least 2 years of experience after MBBS from a government or empanelled hospital, with at least 1 year in the concerned specialty.
• Preference: 2 years or more experience in the specialty from a government hospital.
• Bar: Must not have completed 3 + 1 years of Senior Residency in any recognized institute.
• Age: Upper limit 45 years as of 29 October 2026.
  • Relaxation: 5 years for ex‑service personnel (≥5 years service), 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (Delhi only).
• MBBS: Must have 1 year internship. Equivalent foreign degree accepted after passing the FMGE screening test.
• Foreign Medical Graduates (FMGs): Eligible if they completed internship outside India and passed FMGE; eligibility based on FMGE declaration date.
• Internship in India: Must be completed on or after 29 October 2024. Earlier internships (except FMG) are not considered.
• DMC Registration: Mandatory at the time of application.

Selection Process

1. Application Verification – Check completeness and authenticity of documents.
2. Interview – Conducted on the specified dates for Sr. and Jr. Residents.
3. Final Selection – Based on interview performance and eligibility criteria.
