• Posts: 579 Land Record Assistant (LRA) vacancies
• Location: District Commissioners’ offices in Assam (excluding Sixth Schedule areas)
• Reserved Posts: 16 for persons with disabilities, 6 for ex‑servicemen (not included in the 579 total)
• Pay Band: Rs. 14,000 – 70,000 (Pay Band‑2) with Grade Pay Rs. 6,200

Eligibility

1. Age: 21 – 40 years as on 1 January 2026 (age relaxation applicable to reserved categories)
2. Education: Minimum 10th or 12th pass (not open to all 10th/12th pass candidates; must meet RCCC requirement)
3. RCCC Training: Completed the prescribed six‑month Recorders Certificate Class Course (RCCC) at the Assam Survey & Settlement Training Centre, Dakhingaon, Guwahati
4. Proficiency: Officially declared proficient in both Survey and Settlement subjects before 13 August 2026 (result declared by the Director of Land Records & Surveys)
5. Typing Skills: English typing and prescribed Assamese or Bengali typing (assessed in selection)

Selection Process

1. Written Examination – to test knowledge of Survey, Settlement, and related subjects
2. Typing Test – English and Assamese/Bengali typing as per requirement
3. Interview/Final Selection – based on overall performance and eligibility criteria
