Vacancies: 48 direct‑payment Pourakarmika posts across Koppal and Gangavati City Municipal Councils.

Reserved Posts

• 6 posts (2 in Koppal, 4 in Gangavati) reserved for legal heirs (spouse, parents, or children) of persons who died under the Manual Scavengers Act. If no suitable applicants are found, these posts will be filled from other categories.

Eligibility

• Indian citizen.
• Minimum age: 18 years.
• Maximum age: 50 years.
• No age relaxation.
• Age proof must be substantiated with educational certificates or other valid documents.

Application Fee

• ₹100 for Koppal posts, ₹200 for Gangavati posts.
• Pay via Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of the respective Nagarasabhe (Koppal or Gangavati).
• Applications without fee or incomplete documents will not be considered.

Selection Process

• No written exam or interview.
• Priority‑based scrutiny:
  1. Priority 1 – At least one year prior service as Pourakarmika, Loader, UGD Helper, or Cleaner/Helper in local bodies. Proof: ESI/PF salary records, bank passbook, or attendance/muster records.
  2. Priority 2 – Family members of Pourakarmikas who died while performing COVID‑19 pandemic‑related sanitation duty or in service due to other causes.
  3. Priority 3 – At least one year prior local‑body work experience in allied roles (Loaders, UGD Helpers, Cleaners, waste segregation unit workers, or public toilet cleaning staff).
  4. Priority 4 – 10% of posts reserved for legal heirs of persons who died under Manual Scavengers Act circumstances.
• Remaining posts may be filled from other applicant categories after exhausting eligible candidates under the above priorities.

Application Procedure

1. Obtain the application form from the respective Nagarasabhe office.
2. Fill the form completely and accurately.
3. Attach self‑attested copies of all required documents (age proof, category certificate, prior service proof, etc.).
4. Prepare the Demand Draft for the applicable fee.
5. Submit the complete application, fee DD, and all enclosures in person to the concerned office (offline only). No online mode is available.
6. Ensure submission on or before 22.10.2026.

Final Decision

Applications are compiled and forwarded by the local body’s Commissioner/Chief Officer to the District Urban Development Cell and Deputy Commissioner, Koppal. The final selection decision rests with the Chairman of the Direct Appointment Authority and the Deputy Commissioner, Koppal, in consultation with the selection committee.
