Position: Para Legal Volunteer (voluntary service, not a government job appointment)

Pay: Rs. 750 per day (only on days assigned specific work by the authority)

Eligibility

• Matric pass qualification.
• Permanent resident of Sheohar district.
• Physically and mentally healthy with good moral character.
• No pending criminal cases or prior convictions.
• Must be interested in uplifting weaker and marginalized sections of society.
• Includes retired teachers, retired government servants, senior citizens, Anganwadi workers, doctors, students, NGO members, self‑help groups, Jeevika, and other suitable persons (excluding practicing advocates).
• Previously selected Para Legal Volunteers may re‑apply and will be given preference.

Application Process

1. Download application forms (Prapatr‑1 and Prapatr‑2) from the Civil Court Sheohar official website (sheohar.dcourts.gov.in) or obtain a copy from the office.

2. Fill out the prescribed application form completely in your own handwriting.

3. Attach self‑attested photocopies of your educational and other qualification certificates.

4. Affix a passport‑size photograph with self‑attestation on the application form.

5. Enclose a self‑addressed envelope affixed with a registered postal stamp.

6. Write your contact number and e‑mail ID compulsorily on the application form.

7. Submit the completed application form via registered post to:

   Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, ADR Bhavan, Sheohar

   Deadline: 30 November 2026, 05:00 PM (applications received after the scheduled date and time will not be considered).

   Applications can also be submitted in person at the office during working hours (10:00 AM – 05:00 PM).

Selection Process

1. Application screening and document verification by the office of the District Legal Services Authority, Sheohar.
2. Personal interview for shortlisted candidates (interview schedule and notifications will be updated on the Civil Court Sheohar website). Preference will be given to previously selected para legal volunteers.
