Qualification Routes

1. Trained B.Ed + M.A. (Hindi/English) or M.Sc. (Physics/Chemistry/Zoology/Botany/Mathematics/Computer Science) from a recognised university. Must have at least 4 years teaching experience in Classes 9‑12 or be a trained graduate headmaster of a junior high school.
2. 10 years teaching experience in intermediate classes with a first/second division postgraduate degree, or 15 years teaching experience with a third division postgraduate degree.
3. Trained B.Ed postgraduate diploma holder in science who passed the diploma in first/second division and has 15 or 20 years of service after passing.

PGT Specifics

Biology	M.Sc. in Botany or Zoology; or M.Sc. in Agricultural Botany with Zoology in B.Sc.; or M.Sc. in Agricultural Zoology with Botany in B.Sc.; or M.Sc. (Life Sciences) from a UGC‑recognised university; or B.Sc. with postgraduate diploma in Biology run by the Education Department, U.P.
Chemistry	M.Sc. Chemistry; or B.Sc. (Hons) with a 3‑year course in Chemistry; or postgraduate degree in Biochemistry from a UGC‑recognised institution

Note: No separate PGT is appointed for the subject of the selected Principal; the Principal teaches that subject herself. Academic staff of the upgraded schools are not required to stay overnight.
